2024 APPEAL: “Through Him and For Him”

This year's campaign titled "Through Him and For Him" emphasizes Christ's central place in all that we do. Christ our Lord, through the Eucharist, brings us together and sustains us. Jesus commanded us to love one another and this is one of the ways we do. Thank you for being a part of this.

WE ASKED, YOU RESPONDED!

Thank you to everyone who participated in our parish's Synodal process either by responding to our online Survey (31 responses), completing a hand-written questionnaire (11 responses), or attending one of our listening sessions (31 adult participants, 26 high school/college students, and 8 classes of middle school religious education classes). The report summarizing our responses has been sent to the Diocese and will be incorporated with the responses from other parishes. The pastoral council will start the process of discerning what actions this parish should take in response to the survey. After you read the report if you have any suggestions, please submit them in our new Suggestion Box in the gathering place or drop it in the collection basket. Thank you very much and God Bless.

Saturday Evening Mass

Dear St. Katharine Drexel Parishioners,

The Church of Saint Katharine Drexel is on a journey to know, love, and serve Christ in our parish community. Together, we must embrace Christ’s vision for missionary discipleship so our parish can thrive and be a place for others to grow together in faith.

The very first step in this process involves assessing our greatest strengths and opportunities, and that is where the Disciple Maker Index (DMI) comes in! The DMI is an important survey tool that invites you to reflect on your discipleship journey here at SKD. The Disciple Maker Index is designed to:

• Invite parishioners to reflect on their journey of discipleship.

• Enable parish leadership to make data-driven decisions.

• Help parishioners grow in their faith.

The 10–15-minute survey can be accessed through an online link from https://portal.catholicleaders.org/d/bcd055 and will ask you to reflect on your own spiritual growth and enable you to provide your perspective on our parish’s efforts to help you grow in relationship with Christ. All responses will be confidential, and the parish will only receive information about the community as a whole. We will share the link with you closer to the launch of the survey. Paper surveys will also be available in the gathering space for those who do not have the ability to complete the survey online.

Together, we must embrace Christ’s vision for missionary discipleship so our parish can thrive and be a place for others to grow together in faith.
